I have been a thrifter for over 30 years and have never come across a doll quite like this one. I can honestly say to find one in this condition, with its original clothing and accessories, is rare. I am so proud to offer this exquisite doll. What an amazing addition she would be for the discerning collector. Or perhaps you had one like her as a child, a lost love, now found again. Should you wish to purchase this as a special gift to be sent directly to the recipient, I offer complimentary gift wrapping. I have not been able to find any markings on this doll. I have checked the usual places, the back of her head, or her lower back, but there is nothing. I have not totally disrobed her, because dolls of this age can be fragile and I do not want to risk damaging her. I believe her to be circa 1950s or 1960s, possibly what is commonly referred to as a 'grocery store doll'. Whatever her origins, she is undeniably stunning. She embodies the glamour of mid-century fashion and elegance. Her arms and legs are moveable, and her head and waist turn. Her hair is dark blonde or golden brown. I am not sure what colour her eyes would be considered, I have always thought them to be steel blue or grey. Her fingernails and toenails have faux red polish. I do not know whether or not her necklace is original. She measures approximately 24 inches high. She is in overall good condition for her age. Her body could use a cleaning. Some of the polish has worn off of her nails over the years. There are some scuffed areas on her shoes. Her dress has some tiny pulls that you can see when viewed closely. There is a small brown stain on the back of her dress. If you are unable to zoom in on photos, please feel free to contact me for additional photos, as limits listing photos to 10. Tracked and insured shipping is within Canada or to the continental United States. Sold as is, no returns. Please view all photos for details, and feel free to contact me with any questions.
