Gentle silicone tape that can be used to tape eyelids for dry eye protection at night. You can also find it in drugstores under the name Nexcare Sensitive Skin Silicone Tape.
Updated May 2022
This was the first silicone tape I ever used on my lids, and was brought to my attention by customer Neil many, many years ago. It is distinctly more skin friendly than paper or plastic tapes - the adhesive is not nearly as harsh on the skin. Two pieces makes my lid feel quite secure. I've had good feedback from many users over the years on this one.
This tape is sold under two names. Kind Removal is the hospital name. You can find it in your local drugstore as Nexcare Sensitive Skin Silicone Tape.
Its comfortable application and removal along with secure adhesion makes it ideal for patients with sensitive, compromised or at-risk skin, and better for all patients whose treatment requires medical tape.
Research confirms that upon removal, 3M™ Kind Removal Silicone Tape causes minimal epidermal cell stripping and less pulling of hair.
