The Acropora Coral, Acropora sp., is a multi-colored, quick growth, "axial" corallite that comes in many shapes, colors, and sizes. The genus Acropora has over 400 species, most of which are found in the Pacific Ocean. Their branches are extremely varied as no two Acropora Corals will be identical. They have very small polyps and are known as SPS corals (small polyp stony). Keep in mind while housing Acropora corals that they grow extremely fast, so allow plenty of room for them to stretch out. Pristine water conditions must be kept and temperature must be regulated as well. Nitrate and phosphate levels should be as close to zero as possible.
