Bitumen Binder and Types - Free download as Powerpoint Presentation (.ppt / .pptx), PDF File (.pdf), Text File (.txt) or view presentation slides online. Bitumen binder can be graded based on viscosity or penetration. Viscosity grading is now commonly used and classifies bitumen into four grades - VG10, VG20, VG30, VG40 - based on viscosity values. Different types of bitumen include cutback bitumen which is produced by blending bitumen with solvents, and bitumen emulsion which is a suspension of bitumen droplets in water. Bitumen is also used to produce felt, mastic asphalt and other construction materials.
