An elegant pair of gilt brass Neoclassical revival Four light Candelabra by Elkington and Co. English Circa 1880. The three leaf-cast scrolling branches enclosing a confirming scones above slender string stems with lappet-cast collars on compressed lead and shell-cast lion’s paw tripods and tricorn platforms. Very elegant and slender pair of candelabra in original condition with a good colour to the gilt work, inspired by the ancient Roman models. Very unusual being gilt rather than the silver-plate Elkingtons are noted for.
