Chrissy Teigen was born in Delta, Utah, and grew up in Snohomish, Washington. After moving to Huntington Beach, California, Teigen was discovered by a photographer and began her modeling career. Teigen served as a briefcase model on Deal or No Deal from 2007 to 2008 and appeared in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue as Rookie of the Year. Four years later, she covered the iconic issue with Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge in honor of the magazine’s 50th anniversary. Teigen has hosted a number of TV shows throughout her career, including Model Employee in 2013 and FABLife from 2015 to 2016. She served as the color commentator on Lip Sync Battle for five seasons from 2015 to 2019 and was a judge on the 2019 series Bring the Funny. She also stars in her own Roku (formerly Quibi) show, Chrissy’s Court, which she also executive produces. Teigen, who is known for her witty and blunt humor on social media, published her first cookbook, Cravings, in 2016. The sequel, Cravings: Hungry for More, came out two years later along with her Cravings cookware line. Teigen met John Legend in 2007 while starring in his “Stereo” music video. They started dating soon after and got engaged in 2011. The couple married in Italy in 2013, the same year they teamed up on another music video, “All of Me.” They welcomed daughter Luna in 2016 and son Miles in 2018. Teigen announced in August 2020 that she was pregnant with baby No. 3, but she suffered a partial placenta abruption one month later, causing the loss of their son at 20 weeks. She and Legend planned to name their baby Jack. In 2023, Teigen revealed that the “medical intervention” she required while pregnant with Jack was a life-saving abortion. The pair welcomed daughter Esti Maxine in January 2023. Just six months later, the couple welcomed son Wren via surrogate, confirming the news via Instagram in June 2023.
