Hey, gals, I'm Elizabeth, the editorial intern this winter. In light of all the kick-ass post-holiday sales, I've been stocking up on some much-needed workout apparel. You see, I'm a former pole-vaulter who is looking for slightly lower impact workouts lately, and I need the right gear for the job. Earlier this week, I bravely ventured into the padded sports bras realm, frustrated by elastic that tends to wear out quickly on normal sports bras. I've seen the padded, or so-called "molded cup" bras popping up in stores everywhere recently but was never quite on board. As a former runner, padding seems to defy the odds of gravity, pushing everything up instead securing everything down. So as I expand my workouts to spinning and yoga, I decided to take the plunge. The Victoria's Secret PINK sports bra I picked up is stylish (a silver leopard print!) and frankly, sexy. Maybe too sexy. Even though I bought it for yoga, I feel a little self-conscious that it serves a look-pretty, not-entirely-practical purpose.
