A new survey out of the U.K. found that of 1,000 women polled, about half—48 percent!—admit to buying clothing a size too small. Why on earth would anyone spend her hard-earned cash on stuff that doesn't fit? Apparently, it's incentive to lose weight. It's dubbed "size denial" by the Daily Mail. The study found that 10 percent of women will buy clothes up to three sizes too small—and only 38 percent of women would admit to going up a dress size after weight gain (so much for social shopping, huh?). Have you ever bought clothes that are too small—just to incentivize yourself to drop a couple of inches? I totally have. I do this with jeans all the time—but it doesn't work because all the jeans I buy have stretch. So, at the end of the day, it's just a matter of time until they fit. Ha ha.
