A nurse who is able to practice to the full extent of their licensure and training is said to have full practice authority. Unfortunately, many states have instituted laws and regulations that prevent nurses from carrying out functions they are legally licensed and fully trained to perform. Research shows permitting nurses to exercise full practice authority increases access and lowers costs. Currently, 27 states and DC allow nurse practitioners to provide healthcare to the full extent of their education and training.   LATEST NEWS   Utah Becomes 27th State with Full Practice Authority 20 March 2023 On March 16, Utah Governor Spencer Cox signed Senate Bill 36 into law, making the state the 27th to enac Reframing Trauma Informed Care as a Systems Approach 20 December 2022 This podcast and blog post is presented by the National Nurse-led Care Consortium (NNCC) and describes t
