After designing gardens at the White House and Hubert de Givenchy’s manor, Rachel “Bunny” Mellon founded the Oak Spring Garden Foundation to model the importance of plants to human livelihood and to cultivate horticultural scholarship through public access to her residence, estate, garden, and library.
