Please note this is for the sale of just one girdle. On Her Majesties Service commissioned pull on girdles for the WRAC Which is the Women's Royal Army Corps. The tag reads that they were made to a 1951 pattern and the labels inside some of the garments read '1952'. They were commissioned to be made by Richard Cooper and Co of Ashbourne and are rescued factory stock. These girdles are a fantastic piece of military fashion history but also make great foundation pieces for vintage wear enthusiasts, getting the right underwear when wearing vintage pieces can make all the difference to authenticate your look. They are sized as medium and the elastic is particularly forgiving and can stretch quite wide compressing the abdomen and giving a smooth line to your clothes. Although new never sold please note that they have not been washed and there is age soil over them. This looks to be superficial and should come out with a gentle hand wash before wear. Do not iron. Please note that there could possibly be rust marks on the fabric if the garter fasteners position is moved (note the longer garter straps should hang at the back and are positioned the wrong way round on my photographs) 19" waist on no stretch expanding to approximately 34" 22" hips on no stretch expanding to approximately 38" Please note that one is slightly larger than the others, if you would like this one please message me. The girdle with the factory labels will be sold in a separate listing, these have no labels.
