Poor breathing patterns occur when ventilation exceeds metabolic demands. When stressed for example, we take shorter more sporadic breaths, which results in not fully exhaling. When we don’t fully exhale, it will result in upper chest breathing patterns.

The Cornerstone Pilates is a Pilates studio located in Burlington. We offer Pilates classes to all levels ranging from beginner to advanced; mat, springboard, reformer and ELDOA. We also offer one-on-one sessions whether you are in post-rehab or prefer the attention of a qualified instructor to push you to new limits, we have what you need.
