After earning a BA in History and Women’s & Gender Studies from Dickinson College, I continued my studies at the University of Georgia, receiving my Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Nonprofit Management in 2011. Much of my research and previous experience has been with the immigrant and refugee community, leading me to join AmeriCorps VISTA and serve elderly immigrants and refugees in St. Louis. The itch to travel prompted me to volunteer in Israel with Yahel Israel, a MASA-funded program where I taught English and assisted a nonprofit in the Ethiopian Israeli community. Taking a break from the nonprofit world, I now blog about personal finance and credit cards rewards. My work has been published on CentSai and Kveller, and my ghost-written articles have appeared on The Points Guy, WiseBread, LendingTree, LowCards, Credit.com, and Johnny Jet.
