Researchers have developed a novel piezoelectric ultrasound breast patch that can detect breast tissue anomalies as small as about 3 millimeters wide. The wearable device, which easily conforms to large, curvilinear surfaces, could enable a new user-friendly, noninvasive approach to early breast cancer detection.
