Critics have rated this as the best available among San Francisco Bay wines. Expert tasting note: (1996 vintage) Deep. dark, almost opaque ruby colour is held right to the rim. Fabulous, rich, ripe nose with chocolate, cassis, coffee & spice aromas. Dry with full, smooth. Plentiful ripe fruit, rounded tannins and a milky/lactic smoothness.
