Description

Description Update 03/14/2019: Caliber is 44 Russian serial #25124, 44 Russian, 4'' barrel with a near excellent bore showing light oxidation at the muzzle. This First Model revolver retains about 97% original nickel plate with lightly cleaned oxidation and pinprick pitting along the recoil shield / frame juncture on the right side, a few scattered light oxidation stains, turn ring on the cylinder and scratches. The sideplate is neatly inscribed with ''Nov 11th 97'' but the significance of the that date is not known. The triggerguard shows some light edge wear to the blue finish and the barrel latch is mostly gray with some color left on the bottom. The trigger face is worn to gray but strong case-hardened colors remain on the rest of the body and the hammer is thinning to gray with tufts of color still visible. The diamond checkered hard rubber factory grips rate very good to excellent with a few light dents and dings on the butts of both panels. Barrel to frame fit and functioning are as good as the day it left Springfield, the grips and all appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun. An excellent condition New Model 44 Double Action. (89100-249) {ANTIQUE} [Richard ''Stretch'' Kennedy Collection]
