On a recent Monday morning, about 20 people met in a conference room of the Butte Child and Family Services office on Casey Street.
Lily Gladstone, an esteemed Blackfeet actress who grew up in Browning and East Glacier, Montana, was honored by the Blackfeet Nation for her accomplishments after becoming the first Indigenous person to win a Golden Globe award for her role in "Killers of the Flower Moon." Gladstone received a stand-up headdress, which is unique to the Blackfeet Confederacy and bares great symbolism and honor.
