In America, women face societal pressure on body image and dieting, particularly during the postpartum period. We should embrace our bodies' natural changes, focus on self-care, and avoid extreme dieting. Intuitive eating is a framework for a healthy relationship with food and body image, and stresses the importance of modeling healthy behaviors and attitudes towards food and body image as parents. Healing our relationship with food and body image is possible and can lead to a more joyful and fulfilling life.
