Our 2012 Title IX at 40 conference brought together a diverse array of more than 200 athletes, coaches, administrators, educators, students, researchers, legal authorities, equity advocates and policymakers who shared an interest in issues pertaining to girls and women in sport. The exchange and interaction between individuals from different backgrounds and disciplines provided opportunities to critically evaluate the current state of sport and physical activity for women and girls, and to once again strengthen calls for equity and diversity.
