THE WALKABOUT KNEE BRACE is made of 3.0mm thick neoprene. It has been used to rehabilitate the knee joints of thousands of dogs and cats with minor and major joint problems such as overuse, cruciate ligament tears, patella dislocation and arthritis. It has two stirrups that hold it above the knee and is velcroed to your pet's back for a better fit. The final detail is a suspender that goes through the back straps. It is flexible and has a clip that attaches to the harness of your choice to keep the brace in place. The brace should be worn during periods of activity and removed during quiet periods and when your pet is sleeping. Please remove it when your dog is home alone. *For male dogs, please ensure that there is enough room under the abdomen for them to urinate. **Due to the forces exerted on the knee joint and back area, we recommend using a harness to attach the suspender to prevent the brace from sliding down your pet's back. The harness is recommended but not required for the knee brace to be effective.
