Willow trees grow on tree patches by planting willow saplings at level 30 Farming, giving 25 experience for planting the sapling and a further 1456.5 experience when the tree is fully grown. A nearby Gardener will ask for a full basket of apples in payment for ensuring that the player’s tree will always recover from disease. If buying the willow seed and apples on the Grand Exchange, it will cost about 5,158 coins per tree. After 240 minutes (four hours) the tree will be fully grown. It can be chopped as normal, and will also grow back normally when it is chopped down. Alternatively, once chopped down as a willow tree stump, it can be dug up using a spade, yielding some willow roots in the process.
