Gels : These are colloidal solution of liquids in a solids. In a gel the dispersed phase is a liquid while dispersion medium is solid. Elastic gels : These gels possesses the property of elasticity. For e.g, agar-agar, fruit pectin, gelatin etc. Non-elastic gels : These gels do not possesses the property of elasticity For e.g. silica gel.
