USA's Simone Biles added to her Olympic medal collection at Tokyo 2020 with a silver in the artistic gymnastics women’s team event, alongside teammates Sunisa Lee, Grace Mc Callum, and Jordan Chiles, and a bronze in the balance beam. But the medals are not what her appearance at Tokyo 2020 will be remembered for. After one vault in the team final, Biles stepped aside to concentrate on her physical and mental health. Despite qualifying for all the apparatus finals, she only appeared in the final one, the balance beam, where Guan Chenchen (CHN) took gold and Tang Xijing (CHN) silver.
